The South Asian Journal of Geriatric Medicine, Surgery, Palliative Care & Hospice, successfully organized a free health camp and a seminar on Healthy Ageing, Advanced Care Planning and Living Wills. This initiative aimed to address the physical, emotional, and social aspects of ageing, providing practical guidance to foster a healthier and more fulfilling life for our elders. The event brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting well-being among the elderly population.
The seminar featured engaging discussions on topics such as maintaining mobility, cognitive health, and the importance of social connections in later years. Expert speakers shared evidence-based insights on Advanced Care Planning and Living Wills (by our Editor in Chief, Prof. Sandeep Kumar), and Healthy Ageing (by our Executive Editor, Dr. Abhishek Shukla) , empowering attendees with actionable strategies to prioritize their health and independence as they age. Meanwhile, the health camp offered free medical check-ups, consultations, and advice on lifestyle modifications to prevent common age-related ailments.

This event was a huge success. I congratulate everyone involved in this initiative and appreciate the hard work they put into it.
